Stephanie Boschen CMT, LMT, NCBTMB

Founder, Licensed & Nationally Certified Massage Therapist

Thank you for visiting Eastern Sun Therapeutics, my private massage therapy practice where you become part of the family. We will discuss your concerns & treatment over a cup of tea, and hugs are always free.

My name is Stephanie Boschen and I am a Colorado native.

For over a decade I worked as a legal contract manager in the fields of computer software & hardware, avionics, healthcare technology & infrastructure construction.  I understand how stressful and difficult balancing all the demands of a hectic work schedule with family and all the other areas of life. We are pulled in so many directions and sometimes we forget to take care of our most important asset... our body and mind. I am here to provide you with the necessary support and guidance to keep you healthy, happy and pain free utilizing the most effective therapeutic massage methods. You can begin to reduce chronic pain, recover from injury (decrease scar tissue, improve your range of motion), correct/improve postural misalignments, increase sport performance, decrease anxiety, depression and more. As a team we can create a custom treatment program to enhance your life today, into tomorrow.

Why Massage Therapy?

Through the process of dealing with my own issues I discovered the importance of, and the unfortunate lack of, our connection to the body. We tend to spend so much of our time in our head or simply ignoring the signs of injury until it's too late, or almost too late.  We silence the signals and signs our body provides until we are faced with illness, injury or chronic pain. The body, however, is often smarter than our mind will allow us to believe; and our body is more resilient & pliable then we are willing to acknowledge. By reconnecting with our body we can begin to reduce pain, recover from injuries, even address and confront traumas stored in habitual holding and movement patterns. By integrating western and eastern massage modalities and philosophies I am able to achieve results quicker, easier... naturally. My goal is to provide you with the quickest and most effective treatments, based on the latest research, so you can continue to enjoy life to its fullest.

My Experience

Sports/OrthopedicI work with both amateur and professional athletes providing both pre and post event massage as well as individualized orthopedic massage to help release habitual movement patterns as a result of their particular sport. Additionally I have worked to improve carpal tunnel symptoms, kyphosis, lordosis, scoliosis and various other orthopedic concerns in conjunction with my client's chiropractors, physical therapists and other health care professionals.

Trauma & Mental Health: I work extensively with those suffering from PTSD, Depression & Anxiety Disorders to recognize and manage their symptoms in addition to those recovering from addiction. I have also worked with individuals diagnosed with borderline personality, schizophrenia and other mental illnesses to relieve symptoms and foster personal acceptance and self-worth.

To ensure your safety and the best possible treatment, all individuals suffering with severe mental illness must be preapproved for massage, in writing, by their health care provider/psychotherapist. Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical or psychological care. Massage is a complimentary therapy that may speed up and enhance your recovery through coordinated care with other health care providers

Elder Massage: I have experience with the elderly including those in nursing homes and with limited mobility and those with cognitive imparement (dementia, stroke, genetic)

General Relaxation: You can’t forget about the wonderful benefit of simply having a safe place dedicated to personal relaxation and calm.

More About Me

I love the outdoors and I try to spend as much time outside as I can. I grew up hiking, biking and camping in the Colorado Rockies and they have kept me here in Colorado.  I began skiing at age six and progressed to snowboarding in college. I was an avid long distance runner for many years and currently maintain an active yoga and meditation practice.

I have a passion for creative writing and studied Western American and Native American literature. My favorite authors include Wallace Stegner & Rudolpho Anaya.

Nothing beats a good cup of tea or a great philosophical discussion with friends, a bouquet of fresh cut wildflowers or the sound of pouring rain.

I hope you will decide to book an appointment with me soon. I look forward to working with you in whatever capacity and modality is just right for you.

Sincerely,

Stephanie
